First Birthday
There are so many stages in your child’s life that you want to capture. One of those is your child’s first birthday. By this time, they are sitting up by themselves comfortably. They are probably even crawling and walking. All momentous occasions. But how fun is it to capture the first time they taste a scrumptious and sweet birthday cake or even just the fluffy icing on top. That’s probably as far as they will get when they smash into their first birthday cake made just for them. How exciting.
I love seeing the excitement in the child’s eyes when they dig into that cake like a champ. It’s hilarious listening to the parents howl in laughter as their child smashes that cake to bits. Sometimes it’s hard to hold my camera steady from laughing so hard. Love it.
There might be the odd time that a child might be a little frightened or nervous about touching the cake. They may not like it. But that’s ok. I have seen both versions. They just don’t like getting their hands dirty. Not a problem. We will roll with the punches . . . lol !! They may not even like cake . . . period. That’s quite alright. Not everyone is a cake lover. Wish I was one of them . . . lol !!
